  • Rail Position: Out 3m entire
  • Track Conditions: Heavy 8
  • Track Comments: Just monitor any patterns as we are on a heavy track with strong winds forecasted.

Race 4, No. 2 PRIMITIVO

Stays in the same grade with similar track conditions after winning last start defeating Wu Gok who then went on to continue the good form by winning last week. Best on wet tracks and after drawing an outside gate he will get back and watch for him late down the outside.

Race 6, No. 1 CURRAGH

Comes up from Victoria and has been racing against the best winter horses of late and will find this more to his liking dropping into this BM78. Is at home on soft ground and with the wind around there should be a track upgrade in the middle of the day. Looks the each way play of the day at $10

Three time Melbourne Cup winning hoop Glen Boss makes a return to Sydney racing after a long stint in Singapore. He come here with 4 rides today.

Race 7, No. 1 STAMPEDE

Returns after 9 months off and has been smashed in the market. Is the best horse in the race and he does fly in these conditions and being fresh always runs a race. Has had two nice trials and should be ready to go, opened $26 and is now supported into $7.

Leg 1: 1,3,6,12

Leg 2: 1,2,4,5,14

Leg 3: 1,3,4,8

Leg 4: 1,2,6,7

$80 gets 25%

Race 1: 9-5-3-2. Team Hawkes have been very patient with this Snitzel colt and have produced him here after defeating two very nice horses at the trials last prep.

Race 2: 2-1-3-6. Caught they eye last start flashing home to just miss getting the top weight here. Extra trip long with a 1.5kg swing in the weights is a big advantage and should be winning.

Race 3: 4-1-17-12. Very even race in which barriers will play an important roll.

Race 4: 2-3-5-10. Best see above

Race 5: 3-4-1-9. Meets a similar field here to last start where she was a dominant winner. Draws to get the same run as last start and is benefited with a claim for in form apprentice Sam Clenton.

Race 6: 1-3-6-12. Value see above.

Race 7: 14-2-1-5. Lightweight chance that wasn't disgraced last start when outclassed but she does grow another leg in the wet. Similar race to last start but will carry a kilo less and the 1400 suits her better.

Race 8: 1-3-8-4. Resumes off a short let up and is undefeated on soft ground. Is 10/1 which is well over the odds.

Race 9: 1-6-2-7. Difficult horse to ride and finally gets a senior rider on despite drawing the outside gate he is in with a big chance.
