  • Rail Position: Out 4 metres Entire. Sectional 608m.
  • Track Conditions: Soft 5.
  • Track Comments: Tight and turning track where on-speed runners can be favored however dependent on how soft it is, they can fan wide. Safer to monitor any patterns as the card wears on.

Race 6, No. 3 ROTHMOORE

Willing to forgive the last start in town when stepping up in trip and making a mid race move off a muddling tempo where he was entitled to knock up late although still wasn't beaten all that far considering. Especially if it stays in the soft range, he's very placed back to a midweek BM60 and his form all prep reads well for this grade.

Fit now after three runs back and is seemingly going as well as anything else here following two placings at this track and trip. The last start was full of merit given the best going was out wide and the winner with the blinkers on just had the perfect run in transit. Expect him to be around the mark again and is each way odds at $8.

Todd Pannell is fresh off a winning treble at Morphettville on Saturday and with 21, has ridden the most winners at Gawler over the last 12 months. He has 4 rides today.

Race 5, No. 10 TOORAK ROAD

They are specking a few early around the favorite including this 5yo who has been thereabouts of late with varying luck ($21.00 - $12.00).

Leg 1: 2,3,6,7,8

Leg 2: 1,2,4,5,7,10

Leg 3: 3

Leg 4: 1,4,8,9,10

$30 gets you 20%.

Race 1: 6-3-7-4. Watch the betting with Exalted Ambition (pretty well just another barrier trial on debut last week) and whilst very short, Smiling Assassin does have the best exposed form.

Race 2: 6-1-4-2. Absolute shocker of a race where any of them could win. Samstag was 3 wide the trip last start and does have a big pull in the weights on Diamonds Are. Not much confidence but is a price at $8.

Race 3: 2-1-3-7. This is no more exciting. Will go the way of Spiegel Grove again on his home deck who does actually meet Exalted Craftsman better at the weights (even under these conditions) from their last clash and there was a decent margin there.

Race 4: 6-7-8-2. They thought enough of Clearly Adonis to go Listed and then a Group 3 to start his career before being tipped out. Picked up late in his last trial and looks the value currently around the two favs.

Race 5: 4-7-1-5. Tough one to line-up given the first up flop of Rowsthorn (nothing wrong post race). Enough Swagger was too sharp a fortnight ago and Rebel Tantrum could be the one at odds resuming (beat a subsequent city winner before a spell).

Race 6: 3-10-9-12. Best Bet see above.

Race 7: 10-9-1-4. Bolter see above.
