Race 2 - (1400 METRES) - ROCK THE DRUM - 7th. Trainer: Hayes & Dabernig.
Caught the eye when getting home on debut at Tatura over 1100m which he found a little short and can improve over more ground which his breeding supports being by Fastnet Rock and out of Puttanesca who was a Group 2 winner over 2000m. Simply just never got a crack at them here where he was held up until the 50m mark and given the circumstances, wasn't beaten all that far. One we may get a price about next start with the 7 next to his name.
Race 8 - (1600 METRES) - ANEMOI - 4th. Trainer: Danielle Loos.
Lightly raced and somewhat of an underrated stayer when you go back through his previous form with some fair performances at listed level before a decent lay-off and coming back through the grades last preparation. Big odds in this understandably with no fresh form at all but this is by far the best he's gone first up where's hit the line hard late in the piece. Still down in the ratings at 72, seemingly handles all conditions and looks set for a good campaign.
