  • Rail Position: +12m 1200 to WP; +6m Remainder. Sectional 616m.
  • Track Conditions: Good 4.
  • Track Comments: Back on the main track where it has been a big advantage to be in the inside two lanes in the run home of late. Hoping it can even up today but monitor any bias over the meeting.

Race 2, No. 2 ICE GHOST

Does appear as the obvious in this field third up if he holds his form. Terrific win fresh where he had a bit on the group placed Secret Blaze (midfield at Caulfield at his next, running in the Carbine Club today) and didn't have a lot of luck when fourth in a pretty handy 100k race two weeks back.

Race 8, No. 1 ARROW LANE

Last week he wins that BM80 on Gawler Cup day in another stride, drops back to a BM64 today and is $8.50? Seem a crazy each way price for this John Hickmott trained 5yo who has form backing up, is now fit after 3 runs back from a long spell and gets in okay with the 3kg claim.

The Hayes, Hayes & Dabernig stable have been very consistent at Morphettville this season with 5 winners and 7 placings from their 15 starters. They have 3 runners in Adelaide today.

Strong first up win for his new stable and whilst he does rise in class, this isn't a strong BM75 and the money has come ($4.50-$2.90).

Leg 1: 2,3,5,6

Leg 2: 5,11

Leg 3: 1,6,7,9

Leg 4: 1,4,8,15

$64 gets you 50%.

Race 1: 1-6-3-7. Good little 3yo race to start and thought Weir's at the price represented the best value. He'll eat up this extra trip, drops back to 3yo grade and the winner from Geelong won well at the Valley last night.

Race 2: 2-4-3-1. Best Bet see above.

Race 3: 4-7-3-8. Not sure about the $1.70 given he might still be a run short but maps for a soft lead, has more upside than these and is superbly weighted. Class might just get him home.

Race 4: 3-1-8-9. Most of these could bob up without suprising but Tatoosh might be the forgotten one here on the freshen up. Will need luck at this trip but is the class horse and the bar plates come off.

Race 5: 6-2-3-5. Hard to split the first 3-4 as they're all in pretty good touch. Sizzling Bullet has been flying since moving here and the mile suits.

Race 6: 5-11-7-8. Looks a clear race of two. Fitness/better gate of Gheedaa versus Box On Collins who has more class. Betting might tell us more

Race 7: 6-1-7-9. Not a race where I had a firm opinion on anything but he was good fresh although does need to go on with it now. Has been supported early.

Race 8: 1-8-4-15. Best Value see above.
