Morphettville Parks - Saturday March 16

  • Rail Position: Out 4m.
  • Track Conditions: Good 4.
  • Track Comments: The rail out creeps out 4m but the Parks circuit has been playing well and it raced evenly last week.

Race 5, No. 4 DIAPASON

Is closing the gap with Paseeto in the market which had to happen as it was a sprint home for the leader first up which adds merit to her fresh performance when getting home from the rear and is open to improvement here stepping up in trip with the benefit of that hit-out. This is easier and Pannell has gate 1 at his disposal.

Race 7, No. 3 KORODON

Ex Waller runner who I don't think was there to win on his stable debut at Gawler and even ridden cold, he was still too good in the end with the 60kg. Was 5 weeks between runs so there's upside, drops to 55kg here with the smart 2kg claim of Caitlin Jones and this really isn't much of a race. Can go on with it.

Barend Vorster will make his Adelaide debut today. The new stable rider for the outstanding Tony McEvoy stable strode into Flemington last week to win a Newmarket in his only his second ride in the country and he has 3 rides on this card.

Race 3, No. 2 SCOUT'S HONOUR

Shocking race to line-up but this resuming 4yo was fair in some stronger maidens last prep and has been well supported early ($6.50 - $4.20).

Leg 1: 4

Leg 2: FIELD

Leg 3: 3,7,8

Leg 4: 2,3,4,5

$30 gets you 50%.

Race 1: 2-3-4-5. More open now with the Schilldora scratching but this stable mate should be the one to catch with the claim in the small field.

Race 2: 4-6-7-8. Just that rung below the better listed 2yo's in the east but has been honest in every effort and the blinkers go on today.

Race 3: 8-4-2-3. Debut only fair but worth noting that was on the card with the mad Terang rail bias so he may be a big improver today amongst an average bunch.

Race 4: 1-5-2-6. The 60kg is a decent leveller first up over 1400m but is the proven class of the field and the recent trial leading in was excellent.

Race 5: 4-1-2-3. Best Bet see above.

Race 6: 3-6-2-4. Just the 5 mares in this and any of them could win. Lucky Flipper honest and should get the best run.

Race 7: 3-8-7-1. Best Value see above.

Race 8: 4-5-2-3. Comfortably has the most upside out of any of these but does need luck with his get back racing pattern.
