Race 4, No. 1 DENARIUS
Raced some handy types last prep prior to his first up run where he didn't get a lot of galloping room in the straight. That race had some fairly accomplished horses in the field also and he was more than competitive. Has won twice second up and looks to have their measure here.
Race 7, No. 5 ADDOCAR
Given there is an odds on fave having his first start this Robert Heathcote trained gelding looks right in this. He showed promise in trials prior to his first campaign and has been competitive in races so far. Blinkers go on for this, should be fitter third up and represents value at $4.50.
Jockey Jim Byrne's strike rate is almost double at Ipswich this season (23.3%) compared to 12% other metro tracks. Byrne has 5 rides today with Mishani Romance in the first looking the best of them.
Race 9, No. 1 BRYNEICH
Has been heavily backed after knocking up last run after leading. $8 into $2.35 is a big go.
Leg 1: 2
Leg 2: 5,8,12
Leg 3: 1,5,6,7
Leg 4: 1,7,8
$36 gets you 100%
Race 1: 5,4,1,2. Mishani Romance last run was better than it looked. Held up a tad in the straight and won't mind the 1100 Meres
Race 2: 4,1,3,6. Fame And Fortune might be too speedy for them here after a nice trial effort leading all the way.
Race 3: 2,4,5,1. The Real Boss (second) tested Unlikely Story here who then won again at Doomben on Saturday.
Race 4: 1,2,4,3. Best Bet. Denarius
Race 5: 2,7,9,3. Plitvice took a while to get clear in the straight last time and should appreciate the step up to the mile.
Race 6: 2,4,3,5. The Candy Man should be able to control the race from the front.
Race 7: 5,8,12,11. Value bet. Addocar.
Race 8: 1,5,4,6. Toga Picta should be able to handle the class rise after an impressive all the way win last start.
Race 9: 8,1,7,9. Cruz De Vega won a class 4 last start and should be suited slightly up in distance
