Race 1 - (1000 METRES) - ROMAN WOLF - 4th. Trainer: Gary Portelii.
Should have finished much closer but had to switch over heels a few times including once off the eventual winners, to try balance up late but by then he'd just spotted them too much of a start, although hit the line as well as anything late. From an un-raced Octagonal mare who's a half sister to three individual stakes winner, he's well bred and will only improve off this.
Race 6 - (1200 METRES) - ARGENT D'OR - 4th. Trainer: Joseph Pride.
His racing pattern doesn't make it so easy but is crying out to win a race this prep and has been strong without luck all campaign. Lets down better better on top of the ground which added merit to this performance when working home honestly in the worst part of the track. Can come back in grade too with a rating of only 68 and that may be the recipe to give him that deserved victory.
Race 7 - (1100 METRES) - DEPRIVE - 1st. Trainer: James Cummings.
Looks the next Godolphin star on the rise this lightly raced sprinter who is improving with every run and after putting away some decent benchmark fields at the back-end of last campaign, has taken the next step and second up here has got a listed win to lift the rating up under testing conditions. Wonder now whether they'll give him a short let-up then look towards...
