Race 3 - (1600 METRES) - AMANIKAN - 6th. Trainer: Michael Kent.
Can't seem to find a suitable race and hitting a sharp mile event following that Sale effort, again looked too short but is going better than her recent form suggests. I suspect this was a shot at the stumps and probably just another hit-out before getting to 2000m, where if she drops back to a weak benchmark, is ready to win over a trip.
Race 8 - (1600 METRES) - REYKJAVIK - 1st. Trainer: Lindsay Smith.
Finally showed what he's capable off a firmer surface and getting to the mile where whilst aided by a good ride, exploded to make rather light work of a decent field. The Lindsay Smith stable can have them hold a level when fit and given he has had a spaced out campaign, this is one that may have a say in the late winter/early spring lead ups.
Race 9 - (1600 METRES) - ZARGOS - 6th. Trainer: Hayes & Dabernig.
The market suggested she'd need this mile hit-out first up and after briefly looking a threat at the 250m when coming from the rear, not surprisingly just peaked on her run late but still wasn't beaten all that far. Capable of being placed a lot softer with a rating of only 69 and won well at a mile second up in the autumn off a worse fresh effort than this.
