KEMBLA GRANGE - David Taggart
Race 7, No. 1 POHUTUKAWA
In the main race of the day this looks an absolute moral. We are on a heavy 8 and all her wins have come on rain affected tracks where she has been dominant. Didn't have a lot of luck last start in the Group 1 Surround stakes and arguably should of won, drops back to an easier assignment here despite drawing a bit sticky in 9 and Fundamentalist has held up the form.
Race 5, No. 8 TOOTZ
Drops back in grade and from metro racing. Another where all wins have come on wet ground and she will take up the running which may be an added benefit here today. Draws well and she does look over the odds at $6.

Race 4, No. 12 ADVERSARY
This John Moloney trained 3yo has shown ability in both race starts and stuck to the task well at Sandown first up in a better maiden after coming off the bit early but the way he picked up again late suggested he'd improve over a little further which he gets here and looking for that hit-out just to knock a bit of that freshness off him.
Race 7, No. 1 IMMELMANN
Interesting 3yo runner resuming over a mile for the astute Matt Laurie camp who had some form around handy one's last time in but suspect enough work has gone into him to resume at this trip where he's had success and this only a bush BM58. Will get back but could very well just be the best horse in this at $6.
TAREE - David Taggart
Race 6, No. 1 TEXAS STORM
Locally trained galloper that ran out of his skin last start to qualify for the Country Championship Final. Has won both his races here and going on last start he has to go close in this class 2 despite carrying the grandstand.
Race 7, No. 6 SCOTTY BE GOTTI
Does drop back to a mile after running over 1900m when winning the Armidale cup last start but doesn't find that hard of a race here. Will still race up on pace just in behind them and does look a nice each way bet at $8.
BOWEN - Alex Marsh
Race 4, No. 1 BUSTER ROCK
We're flying a little blind at these obscure meetings but this resuming 5yo did little wrong in his first prep. Won on debut over this track and trip where he ran quicker than the BM60 which is always a decent lead and again ran time for the day 2 starts later. Draws well and this looks a very winnable starting point for this prep.
Race 6, No. 4 STELLAR KNIGHT
Consistent galloper with the leading hoop in Justin Stanley taking over today after a solid effort and arguably should have won second up last prep if it wasn't for the bad gate. 1/1 at this track/trip and overall has a good strike rate. Might be the each way ticket at $7.
