SWAN HILL - Alex Marsh
Race 8, No. 3 GOLDEN HALO
If we forgive the last start failure in the Group 3 Proud Miss Stakes where she did pull up lame, then she's clearly the one to beat here in a BM64 off her prior form and has been freshened right up for this for the in-form Bowman yard. This is probably the weakest race she's seen since winning her maiden.
Race 9, No. 13 MUMBLES
Another one from the Bowman yard who hits this at his fourth run in and there's a query on how a lot of these better rating gallopers early in their preps/resuming. Unlucky last time up the straight and ran better time overall that the fav here Indian Thunder 2 starts back in town.
Race 7, No. 3 PRINCESS OF QUEENS
Strong edition of this famous country sprint where I could make a decent case for 7-8 of these and probably still miss the winner. I've landed on this mare each way at around $9-$10 who barring her first campaign, is unbeaten third up and comes here after getting home fairly well in the Group 2 Proud Miss last start.
