Race 1 - Grunt Standing @ Yulong Handicap (2406 METRES):
FOLLOW: None. Most of theses are well exposed and the first three home simply had the best runs in the race whilst they didn't have to lump a big weight. A few behind them had excuses as well.
FORGIVE: Killarney Kid - 4th. Was just ticking over here dropping in trip after a few wins over the jumps. Was probably the run of the race getting home strongly. I'd also be forgiving of Grand Dreamer (last): slow out but was actually good through the line and Eastender (5th): Had to lump 60kg but felt he was a little felt irrespective. Perhaps carrying 65kg first up and with a Andrew Ramsden in mind, it just took that edge off him?
FORGET: None. O'lonera (7th): plain but has no soft track form and Transact (6th): 3yo at the end of his prep so both had reasons for their efforts.
Race 2 - Ladbrokes Back Yourself Handicap (1100 METRES):
FOLLOW: Bryan - 5th. Very honest galloper that generally builds into his preps (which are long) slowly and following an even run fresh in the Wangoom, this will top him off nicely where after coming off the bit early, he was doing his best work late. Still only has a rating of 80 so can pick off a few in the off-season especially up to 1200m.
FORGIVE: I'm Telling Ya - 3rd....
